Fees
- Our clinic provides autism assessments for a fee of $2850. There is no additional tax as it is a health service.
- The assessment fee includes file review, administration of the ADOS-2 and ADI-R, completion of formal report, and completion of MCFD paperwork if an ASD diagnosis is confirmed.
- A non-refundable fee of $250 is required to secure a spot on the waitlist and this will be deducted from the total assessment fee. Full payment of the remaining balance ($2600) is due on the day of assessment.
Cancellation / No Show Policy
We require 48 hours notice for cancellations. Clients are responsible for the full payment of fees for appointments that are missed, cancelled or changed with less than the required notice.
Publicly Funded Assessments
Assessments are available at no cost through the Northern Health Assessment Network (NHAN). A referral is required from a physician, nurse practitioner or speech language pathologist.
Frequently Asked Questions
What forms of payment are accepted?
Payment can be made via e-transfer, debit card or credit card. Please note that payment by credit card is subject to an additional processing fee of 2.4% which is automatically applied at point of sale.
Do you accept third-party funding, e.g. Jordan’s Principle?
Yes. If Jordan’s Principle will be covering the cost the assessment, confirmation of funding approval will be required prior to booking for assessment.
Does the clinic provide direct billing for individuals with extended health benefits?
Some extended health benefit plans may cover some of the costs of private assessments. We encourage you to review any extended health coverage you may have. We do not direct bill insurance companies. Assessment fees must be paid in full, and a receipt will be provided that can be submitted to your insurance provider.
Are payment plans offered?
Payment plans are not offered through the clinic. Full payment of the remaining balance of the assessment fee ($2600) is due on the day of assessment.
Are disability tax credit forms completed as part of the assessment?
Depending on the degree of support needs, some families supporting youth with autism may be eligible for a disability tax credit (DTC). Disability tax credit forms are completed separately and are subject to a $200 fee. Please review eligibility criteria on the government’s website prior to requesting form completion. Form completion does not guarantee approval, and refunds will not be issued for applications that are not approved.
