How do I know if it’s worth paying for a private assessment?
We encourage you to discuss presenting symptoms with your youth’s health care provider. They will review presenting history and may screen for other conditions which may share overlapping symptoms with ASD, e.g. ADHD, anxiety, OCD etc. Your youth’s health care provider will be able to provide recommendations regarding any supports, treatments or referrals that may be indicated.
Will follow up care be provided after my youth’s assessment?
Your youth will be seen for autism assessment only. Recommendations will be reviewed during the feedback meeting and follow up will be with their current team of health care professionals.
