Services

We offer private autism assessments for youth ages 10-19. Individuals seeking autism assessment through this clinic must have developed language skills, i.e. can speak in complete sentences.

Clinical Diagnostic Assessment for ASD

Autism assessments completed through the clinic are in keeping with provincial standards as set out by the Ministry of Health. The clinical diagnostic assessment includes comprehensive chart review, review of developmental history with completion of the Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised (ADI-R) with parents/guardians, and completion of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scheduled (ADOS-2), a semi-structured, standardized play-based assessment with the youth.

*Please note that an assessment may not yield a diagnosis of autism. It is encouraged that symptoms be discussed with a health care provider prior to assessment, and screens be undertaken for other conditions which may share overlapping symptoms with ASD, e.g. ADHD, anxiety, OCD etc.
